There has been a lot of media buzz about the benefits of medicinal marijuana and CBD oil. All the attention not only focuses on human medicine but veterinary medicine as well.
In multiple states, it has become legal for human use of marijuana for medical purposes or in small quantities for recreational use. However, marijuana and it’s derivitives, such as CBD oil, are still classified as a class 1 controlled narcotic substance on a federal level. This means veterinarians can get into some hot water for even discussing this option in terms of medical treatment.
